Food allergies are recognized to trigger adverse reactions such as skin conditions, GI problems, anaphylaxis, and more. With proper identification and elimination of the offending foods many experiences symptom relief and reaction evasion. Our IgE antibody panels serve as a useful tool in the identification of triggering foods in individuals.

The 44 IgE Food Panel assesses IgE responses to 44 foods. This assessment can be completed via serum or dried blood spot card making is simple to complete in any location. It can also be done as a stand-alone test or in conjunction with a food sensitivity IgG, IgA, or IgG4 panel.

Testing Process

Our 44-Food IgE Panel is a quantitative ELISA analysis of specific IgE antibodies to 44 common foods.

Specimens are tested in duplicate on ELISA platform. We follow a diligent process to extract the key component from each analyte to ensure the antibody present in the patients’ serum will bind to it, and validate with positive and negative controls. The IgE antibodies, once bound to the antigen, are detected through spectrophotometric analysis wherein the values are directly proportional to the concentration of the analytes in the sample.

Note
Test can be ordered standalone or included as part of a Food Sensitivity Panel.
