Ylang Ylang essential oil, derived from a small, star-shaped flower, is a sweetly floral essential oil used in luxurious skin, haircare, and aromatic routines. Ylang Ylang oil is widely known for its distinct aroma and is a star in every essential oil cabinet. 

Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree and is used extensively in making perfumes and in aromatherapy. Similar to Jasmine, Ylang Ylang has been used for centuries in religious and wedding ceremonies. In aromatherapy, Ylang Ylang is used to create a calm, positive atmosphere. Ylang Ylang is frequently used in luxurious hair and skin products for its scent and nourishing and protective properties. Taken internally, Ylang Ylang provides antioxidant support.* Ylang Ylang essential oil blends well with Bergamot, Geranium, Grapefruit, and Vetiver.

Uses:

Cosmetic
  • Add a one to two drops Ylang Ylang oil to a bowl of steaming water to use as a steam facial.
  • Place one drop Ylang Ylang oil on wrists for a sweet and uplifting fragrance.
  • Add one drop Ylang Ylang oil to Fractionated Coconut Oil for a deep hair conditioner.
  • Apply one to two drops Ylang Ylang oil to the back of the neck for a calming, uplifting aroma.
  • Massage one drop Ylang Ylang oil into the scalp to increase the appearance of healthy, shiny hair.
Household
  • Diffuse two drops Ylang Ylang essential oil with one drop Lavender oil to experience a calming aroma.
  • Combine two drops Ylang Ylang oil with two drops Bergamot oil in a 30 mL spray bottle and top-off with water for a naturally sourced home freshener.
Directions:

Diffusion
  • Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.
Internal use
  • Dilute one drop in four fluid ounces of liquid.
